Introduction

Perception is the cognitive process through which we receive and organise information from our surroundings, which reaches us through our senses, in order to form a conscious impression of the physical reality around us.

There are different types of perception depending on the sensory organ by which we receive the stimuli. The main ones are visual, auditive and sensory perceptions.

Characteristics

The tjmapps exercises help you interpret, organise, and give meaning to the visual and auditive information received from the surroundings. With perception, we interpret and categorise objects, allowing their recognition based on the shape, colour and pattern.

We categorise images according to their common traits and the relations between their parts. The exercises are adapted into 9 levels of difficulty and are designed specifically for people with intellectual disabilities.
