Sensory space

Sensory stimulation room

“Sensations are the main part of our knowledge about the outside world and our own body.”

Elements of the sensory stimulation room

BUBBLE TUBE:
Powerful visual stimulus, thanks to its spontaneous changing colours and bubble movement.

EFFECTS OF THE BUBBLE TUBE:

  • Sensory stimulation

  • Cognitive stimulation

  • Visual relaxation

  • Visuomotor coordination

  • It should be used without any other visual stimulus.

OPTICAL FIBRE:

It is a bundle of fibres, through which flashes light.

Its effects are:

  • Visual stimulation: both fixation and visual following.

  • Tactile stimulation: the whole bundle as well as individual fibres. By softly rubbing them on the body, they produce tactile sensations.

How it works:

  • With one fibre, with a few or with all of them.

  • It can develop body scheme awareness.

WATER BED
The water bed allows users to feel and explore their body, facilitating well-being. It aims to decrease muscle tone with vestibular stimulation that occurs with the wave. Users can relax and reduce hypertonicity.

Effects:

  • Vestibular stimulation

  • Posture control

  • Tactile stimulation

  • Methods of relaxation

PROJECTIONS
With large video format, quality audio, and playing with the lights and colour of the room, projections offer an immersive sensory experience.

Effects:

  • Stimulation and activation

  • Sensory relaxation and deprivation

  • Reduce behavioural problems

  • Improve emotional stability
